Sad to report that sometime on Friday 28th December, the milk churn into which people put their donations when visiting the church has been stolen together with its monetary contents.

If anyone saw anything suspicious (and carrying a milk churn out of the church is pretty unusual) please do contact the police and quote the incident number 0712371817.

St James' Church has always endeavoured to keep its doors open to visitors every day and it is a pity that theft and minor vandalism in recent times threaten such a prominent building in the village.
