'Thank You' from BBC Radio Stoke

After last week's focus on Audlem by BBC Radio Stoke, we were delighted to receive the following message:

Wow – what a community!

BBC Radio Stoke travels all around our broadcast area every week reporting on life where you live. North to the Moorlands and south to Gnosall, east to Uttoxeter and west beyond even Audlem.

In the six months I've been talking to people, I've not experienced a warmth and sense of mutual purpose as I found with you.

Yes, 'Mend Our Mum' couldn't help but bind people for good – but beyond even the miraculous amount of money you've raised for Berni and her family, without exception, everyone I met and spoke to was looking at a way of giving something back or looking for a way to enhance their surroundings and benefit their neighbours.

I'm sure you realise what you have but just in case it's escaped you – you're pretty special Audlem. Thank you for making BBC Radio Stoke feel welcome
