A Thank You from ASET

Audlem Special Events Team would like to thank everyone who helped the team last week both in Audlem and Hankelow to make this year's Audlem Festival of Transport such a success.

Without your hard work this would not have been possible.

We estimate that well over 5,000 visitors came to the village last Sunday to enjoy the wonderful spectacle of the classic vehicles and historic boats.

The pilots from RAF Shawbury were overwhelmed by the interest shown in the Griffin Helicopter and thoroughly enjoyed their day.

The display by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota was probably the highlight of the day and fully justified the £1,100 performance fee. Audlem certainly lived up to its 'vibrant village' accolade!
