A much belated thank you to all who braved the elements on Friday 20th December for the ADAS Carols around the tree.
Even with the adverse weather conditions, Crewe Brass braved the elements and accompanied the village singing all the seasonal favourites, whilst Father Christmas made an appearance with sweeties for the children.
Allan and Jo from the Lord Combermere very kindly provided delicious, warming soup.
The generosity of those that braved the elements resulted in a very respectable bucket collection of £343. Thank you all.... this money is invaluable to ADAS as it helps to keep the village twinkling during the festive period.
The ADAS Committee would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped ADAS during 2013 with events, planting, lighting and also to all the residents who so generously donate to ADAS via the envelope subscription scheme.
Without all these forms of support, no matter how large or small, ADAS would not be able to keep the village looking colourful throughout the year nor would we be able to support other community events and organisations. We have an amazingly vibrant village but this is only because of all the fabulous people that live and love Audlem.
Wishing you all a prosperous and happy 2014.
Bryony, ADAS Chair
