Thank you for a great weekend

David Parry writes to say: "Ok, so it rained a bit, but the Fun-ky organisers did us all proud again this weekend. Rain claimed a couple of events but a great deal was achieved. Some kids had their first experience of rock climbing, some danced at a live gig for the first time and some sped down "death alley" in a go cart – and that's just in my family!"

"Add in the opportunities to make hats, play tennis, perform live, paint glass or enjoy a free barbecue, and a great weekend was available to all. The organisers deserve thanks and praise in bucketfuls and when they reflect on the event they shouldn't dwell on what the weather ruined but on the fantastic stuff that it couldn't! Well done and thanks."
