TFWG Meeting on 6 March

1)The Fields in Trust Deed of Dedication was agreed and will be presented to the Parish Council meeting on 13 March for approval. It is important to note the Parish Council retains ownership of the field; it’s registration with the Trust is to protect it from development in perpetuity. The area identified for the green car park remains eligible for development. More information can be found here

2)The Maintenance Plan for the next six weeks including seeding a wild flower area was agreed; we will be seeking some volunteer help again via AudlemOnline

3)It is anticipated work on improving the Green Lane entrance will commence soon, again thanks to volunteer help and funding. It is hope to complete it in the spring to facilitate car parking and summer events.

4)A series of wildlife safaris with schools and youth organisations are being arranged and a spring wildlife leaflet illustrating plants to be found in the field is in the course of preparation.

5)It is intended to install a pond dipping platform, again funded by local organisations.

6)Concerns about dog poo in the field are being addressed by raising awareness via a publicity campaign, involving the school in designing posters and use of orange paint to highlight deposits.
