Test Your Grey Matter

The local charity SCANS wish to say a huge thank you for all the responses from the previous appeal.

They have received a number of donated items and in response to the article on Audlem Online, local resident Victoria Cavill has volunteered to help supervise the underprivileged children on a holiday they would not otherwise receive.

The charity, for which Vanessa Knibbs acts as Fundraising Officer and Trustee, is run entirely by volunteers and funded soley by fundraising and donations.

To help raise enough money run the holidays SCANS have organised a Quiz Night at The Crewe Vagrants, to be held on Friday 23rd April 2010 at 8.00pm.

The Quiz Night will comprise of a general knowledge quiz, a buffet and bar service. All money raised will go towards making the 2010 summer holidays the best yet.

Vanessa Knibbs said "Our fundraising events are always a laugh, and everyone involved has a great time. The Quiz Night we have planned will be an enjoyable Friday night out for anyone who fancies showing off their general knowledge skills, socialising over a buffet, and at the same time raising some money for a good cause!"
