Audlem Saints played a cup match on Sunday 14th Vs Nantwich Town Tigers. As the current cup holders, Saints were naturally keen to advance through the competition. Both league fixtures between the two sides had ended in draws and so it was again. Despite Audlem dominating the game they simply could not break the deadlock. A period of extra time was played but with no goals forthcoming, it was on to the dreaded penalty shoot out!

Audlem put the pressure on by scoring the first penalty and the Audlem keeper made a couple of great saves. Eventually, the tie was settled with a 3-2 penalty shoot out win for Saints. The quarter final of the cup will be played after Christmas.

No games now until Jan 11th & so from all the boys who represent the village with pride:
"Merry Christmas Audlem!"
