Temperature check

Temperatures back to winter normal. Only -5°C last night (Saturday/Sunday) and by 10.00am this morning it was at 0°C the warmest for about 5 days.

Last week's weather gave me a bonus. There was a Little Grebe or Dabchick on the clear stretch of water between lock 9 and 10. It's the first I have seen on the canal since we moved here in 1985.

Similarly there was a Kingfisher briefly around our duck pond on Thursday. Again the first there for about a couple of years.
