Temperature check

Couldn't beat the record low temperature but it was -14°C again Thursday night. Maximum yesterday, Friday, was -4°C.

Just above lock nine there are some interesting ice flows which look like large pancakes varying from about a foot in diameter to about 18 inches. They continually rotate propelled by the movement of water from the weir.

Once they meet the solid ice about halfway between the locks they revolve back towards lock 8.

(Chris has a maximum/minimum thermometer and is checking temperatures regularly.)
