With the festive season upon us, here at Oxtail & Trotter we have continued to source some of the tastiest meat that we can find on top of our special Christmas range of turkeys and geese.

This week we have back in stock by very popular demand locally sourced traditional Hereford beef. This beef is reared by David Charlesworth on extensive pastures next door to our own farm.

This meat will have been hung for at least 21 days by Simon and will be available right through Christmas and New Year.

Also for the very first time we have Hebridean lamb on the counter from The Wall Farm, Kynnersley Shropshire.

The Wall is an award winning farm on the Weald Moors outside Newport. The farm is in higher level stewardship and is farmed for the benefit of wildlife particularly breeding wading birds.

The Hebridean sheep graze on traditional wild flower meadows which surround the earth embankments of the Iron Age Fort after which the farm is named. They are matured slowly and are fed only on grass to give a beautifully flavoursome and lean meat which is also lower in cholesterol than other lamb.

We look forward to seeing you over Christmas and the New Year at Oxtail & Trotter.
