We don't want to 'scare' your readers with our horror story, (been an adventure really, a pandemic and two lockdowns but hey ho Dunkirk spirit and all that!)
As residents of Audlem and the surrounding area we are very fortunate to have so many good eateries and take-aways .We have been going thru a building extension for the past 14 months, a job we hoped would have been finished at Easter (2020). We have not ventured into pubs and restaurants between lockdowns but enjoy our take-aways.
What's inspired me to put pen to paper, or at least pick up the lap top was relaxing after an excellent take away Sunday Lunch from Allan & Jo and their team at the Lord Combermere, (all handled in a safe way).
In our little 'camp kitchen' a full Sunday Lunch with all trimmings is a stretch too far -- let alone coping with the washing up! So here's a big thank you for a great meal in the depths of winter and with all that's going on around us.
Oh, a glimmer of hope as the new kitchen is delivered on Wednesday, hopefully!
ps. To stay Covid safe I'm fitting it myself so I guess in reality we'll be relying on more take-aways for some time to come , I'm a realist!!
