(The website link that was here no longer works) There'll be lots happening today at Audlem Wharf where you can experience what life was like on board a Shropshire Union Canal Fly-boat, or try your hand at the traditional canal arts whilst enjoying local music from The Crofters. From 12noon – 4.00pm there will be Canal Crafts on show; an opportunity to take a tour of Saturn, the famous historical Shroppie Fly narrow boat; and demonstrations in the Mill Shop, plus a performance by 'The Crofters'.

Also, over the weekend, there will be lots happening in the Audlem Methodist Hall including an Audlem School's Art Exhibition; a chance to meet the Shropshire Union Canal Society and the WI will be serving teas.

Many of the new Interpretation Boards explaining much of the history of the Shropshire Union canal have been installed along the canal and can now be checked out. There will be much to see on Sunday too with Saturn leaving Audlem horse-drawn at 2.00pm – it promises to be a great sight – and the opening of the Weaver Way later in the afternoon. The Crofters will be performing again on Audlem Wharf plus a performance at 12.30 on Sunday by the Daystar Theatre.
