Annual Bluebell Walk, Plant & Produce Sale – April 17th

On Sunday 17th April, Combermere Abbey Estate will again open its gates and host their annual Bluebell Walk Event, a fun day out for the whole family.

As Spring approaches, visitors will enjoy the rare opportunity to discover the Combermere Estate, including access to The Pleasure Garden and The Garden Wood, leading down to the lake. Take a two mile stroll through the ancient woodlands, delighting the senses with swathes of fragrant, native bluebells as you go.

The Abbey's 6 acre walled garden with its magnificently restored Glasshouse will also be open for guests to enjoy – walk through the world's only fruit tree maze, an espaliered labyrinth of redcurrants, gooseberries and over 25 varieties of apple and pear tree, its blossoms are a sight to behold.

Visitors are welcome to bring their canine friends on a lead. For gardeners, there will be a Spring Plant and Produce Sale, and The Combermere Café will offer light refreshments.

Gates will open at 1pm and registration for the last walk is at 4pm. The event will close at 5pm. Please wear appropriate footwear for woodland walking and kindly note that the woodland paths are not suited to prams and pushchairs.
