Sunday's game at Wistaston was abandoned in the 33rd over of the first innings due to a storm that caused the square and outfield to flood with little prospect of play for some considerable time .
Audlem had almost completed their innings when the rain came down and found themselves in a favourable position after electing to bat first with Dan Butler ( 43 ) Usman Ghani ( 51 retired not out ) & Kasim Ahmed (33 ) being the main contributors in the total of 187 for 7 off 32.2 overs. Wistaston's bowlers kept the pressure on throughout to restrict the flow of runs and took key wickets at regular intervals . Their main performers were T . King ( 4 overs 10 for 2 ) and H. Springthorpe ( 5.2 overs 17 for 2 )
Next Sunday Audlem welcome Poppyfields CC from the West Midlands to The Gorse Croft and the game has a 2.00pm start.
