As you will be aware, as part of its work on a Neighbourhood Plan, Audlem Parish Council is sponsoring a competition for young people in the village to tell us how they would like Audlem to look 5, 10, 15 or 20 years in the future.

We know that lots of entries have already been received. Thank you! However, there is still time to finish off your masterpiece as the closing date has now been extended to 14 October 2014 to ensure that all of our younger residents have a chance to submit entries.

Entries should be left at Willliams' newsagents, who have kindly offered to receive them. They can be in art form (painting/drawing/collage) or written in verse or prose (no more than 200 words). There are 3 age groups (with cut-off date being 31 August 2014): 5 and below, 6 – 11 and age 12 – 18.

There will be 6 prizes – one for art, one for written entries in each age group, and local celebrity judges have been signed up to perform the difficult task of deciding the winners.

Come on. Show us what you can do and share your dreams for Audlem yet to come!
