SOCIAL GROUP

Hi my name is Andrew Barton some of you may know me in the village as I used run the BCBM office, My daughter Dee now runs the business.

Those that do know me, will know a while ago I had heart surgery during which I suffered a Stroke. I was ok Physically but I suffered Aphasia, which means it effected my speech and language.

Through the help of the Stroke Association I had therapy and started going to a group with others who were also receiving the similar treatment. After a few sessions I met many people I now call friends. We continue to meet once a week on a Wednesday at 11.30am along with other locals that enjoy the company.

There approx. 20 of us and we have a few socials throughout the year, on any given Wednesday there are usually about 10/12 of us and we for coffee and social catch up.
