Statement from Audlem Parish Council

Statement to AOL re Audlem Parish Council financial irregularity:-

Audlem Parish Council are able to make the following statement regarding the financial irregularity reported recently.

Cheshire police were notified of the irregularity, and have reported back indicating they are satisfied no funds are missing, and have closed their file on the matter.

Audlem Parish Council accounts are audited yearly. The annual Audit is imminent. The Parish council have briefed our auditor about the situation, and requested they address this specific occurrence in their report, and comment specifically on it. The Parish Council accepts this matter has taken time to address and thanks Audlem residents for their patience. When complete the audit report will be released, to assure residents no funds were lost
