Stargazer?

I thought that some of your readers would be interested to see two photos that I took a little before 21:30 last night 9th November. The photos are facing north.

At first I thought it could be reflections against clouds from Ringway but the light was too widespread and too bright. Then we thought maybe it's the refracted Northern Lights.

On one of the pictures is what looks like a trail from possibly a satellite which can clearly be seen in the centre of the sky; the photos were taken with a long exposure and so maybe it could be Space-X even which was knocking about yesterday on its way back to Earth.

I'd be interested to hear what others thought and if anyone else saw this.
