Standing in for Gavin

Now that Gavin has "exited stage left" we have the problem of his replacement . Work is ongoing in seeking a new person to take on the role and we hope to appoint one soon . Meantime you may have spotted Councillor Des Winskill and Lorna Mathews of ADAS working this day in picking up litter and emptying Bins -- in seeking to keep Audlem clean . A fine job indeed .

"Dear Audlem,
As you know, Gavin has retired & parked his cart permanently and if you see Dez Winskill & me around the village with it, then rest assured that we are doing our best to keep the bins emptied.

As volunteers( until a suitable replacement is welcomed on board) we are out 3 days a week for a couple of hours each time and would really welcome any help kindly offered.

"As you know, the Lengthsman has retired and could we ask you to place an article on AOL that will appeal to the good people of Audlem to be mindful of the fact that the 32 bins ( including dog poop bins) will now be emptied by volunteers until a new Lengthsman has been welcomed on board and as such could all waste that could be put in the household bin, please be taken home ?
