A number of staffing changes are about to take place at Audlem St James' School as the school returns tomorrow after the half-term break.

The school's weekly Newsletter by Interim Head Teacher Rachel Johnson of Friday 10th February, just before the holiday, reports:

#Staffing News
Following half term we have the following staff changes in school. Mrs Adamson is due to leave on Maternity leave on Friday 2nd March.

I am pleased to inform you that we have Mr Matthew Griffiths joining our school, on Monday 20th February. He will also take up the position of Acting Deputy Head from this date. This start date will allow for a smooth transition for the children in ‘Mars’ as he will teach this class. Mr Griffiths has Maths, PE and humanities as subject specialisms.

I would like to thank Mr Pownall for the support he has given school as Acting Deputy Head, and the support he continues to give school.

For family reasons Mrs. Lock will be leaving school today. She had requested to leave at Easter but circumstances have meant that this has had to be brought forward. I have written to parents in her class separately today.

We have invited Mrs Lock into school on Thursday 1st March so we can say a special good bye to her and recognise her 12 Years at Audlem. We will have a special assembly that day, and no doubt her class will want do something lovely and memorable for her.

The Newsletter also reports on FASA activities, saying:

#FASA – Thank you
A huge thank to FASA for purchasing digital cameras for school. The class teachers were delighted to receive one for each class this week. These will prove very valuable for enriching the curriculum and learning opportunities, and for capturing all those special moments.

Valentines Disco

A huge thank you to everyone who made the discos last night such a success. A fabulous £340.00 was raised. Well done!
