Since we asked for urgent financial help a few weeks ago, matters have been progressing. We have received the 'interim Faculty' allowing us to continue with the new critical work which needs to be done. We have still had to apply formally for a full Faculty (the means by which Grade 1 listed buildings are protected and properly maintained) and this paperwork has now been completed and submitted.
We anticipate the stone masons being back on site in the next few weeks.
In terms of monies raised since we asked for help in the middle of July, we would like to say thank you to those who have responded so quickly, this has raised a further £3,519 so far.
This is still a long way from our target of £17,000 so please help in any way you can.
Don't forget the next couple of fund-raising events
You can see the original article detailing the new problems here, and our photograph shows another view of the problems in the fabric of this ancient building.
