Audlem's Police Community Officer and Parish Council are seeking volunteers to take part in a new Community Speed Watch (CSW) scheme in a bid to reduce speeding in the village.

We are seeking volunteers who are prepared to monitor vehicle speeds on local roads within the community at given locations. Volunteers will record the number plate and vehicle registration of offenders and give these to the police. Equipment and full training would be provided.

We are trialling the scheme for 6 months in a bid to reduce speeding in the village which is a concern to residents and Parish Councillors alike. Other parishes in Cheshire East have seen a reduction in speeding by running a similar community speed watch scheme.

If you are interested in volunteering to man the speed gun then please email the

Parish Clerk on audlempc@gmail.com.

Applicants names will be forwarded to Audlem's Police Community Officer.

Thanks

Belen Lopez Bloor

Clerk to Audlem Parish Council
