The original line up of Audlem's very own band The Defense is back for a one off gig at the Shroppie Fly on Thursday, 18th September.

Ed Cratchley on drums rejoins Jack Marshall on guitar and Mark Jones on bass. Four years after the (then very young) band impressed enough to be offered support spots with the Climax Blues band & Connie Lush they have matured into one of the tightest and accomplished bands around. Influenced by the new radical sounds of the late seventies mixed with a smattering of ska and driven by their own considerable song writing abilities they are worth watching and hearing whatever your own musical tastes are.

This will be a special gig and especially for Jack who is off to Salford University to study for a degree in music and recording. However he says The Defense will play on as and when they get together so it is not so much a goodbye as a watch this space!

It all starts at the Shroppie on Thursday at around 9.30pm and the whole evening will be recorded and featured on their latest album.
