Special Bingo Night at the Town Hall

Geoff and Olive Stretch -- stalwarts of the Bingo at the Hall ,organised a special session with all proceeds going to the appeal fund for the fabric of St James Church .

A superb turn out by many players , with Geoff as master of ceremonies and Olive enjoying herself to the full as both seller of raffle tickets- who dares to say no to Olive ! -- and as the caller for the night.
After a very good humoured close to three hours , with a brief guest appearance of Ralph Warburton as caller, the total raised for the fund was-

• £1000 donation from the Fat Club run by Olive
• £80 from the raffle which had excellent prizes.
• £550 from the bingo card sales
• Less £290 prize money and hire of the hall. Add £60 given back from the prize money

A grand total of £1400
