Some good news

Thanks to the persistent efforts of Kirstin Dixon, Clerk to Audlem Parish Council, there is some good news about the road closure affecting the A525 to Woore.

A spokesman from Cheshire East Highways emailed her yesterday to say: "I attended site yesterday afternoon and identified the footway from the junction of School Lane all the way to the Post Office for re-surfacing. I will now programme for immediate attention, whilst the road closure is still in place."

This means that at last the footpath on Stafford Street will be re-surfaced: a job that is long overdue.
