Next week, on Thursday 26th February, TAVA (Traveling Arts Visiting Audlem) presents Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by the New Perspectives Theatre Company.

Set at the time of King Arthur, it tells the haunting human story of a young knight's epic journey. "It's a tale of temptation, romance and chivalry, shot thought with rough-knuckled action and tall-tale humour, brought to life with the help of puppets and live music – a dazzling theatrical treat for young and old from the East Midland's favourite touring theatre company."

The target audience is 8+, families, teenagers and adults. New Perspectives have said many children younger than 8 have very much enjoyed their show – but it just depends on individual children. This is a show that can be experienced at many different levels – including having a great appeal to secondary age children. TAVA say: "So please do pass this on to older siblings and any other children who might be interested. We are keen not to put off younger children, but hope the primary school venue won't be off putting for older children. All are very much welcome."

To repeat, the show is on Thursday 26th February with a 7.00 pm performance which lasts 90 minutes, plus interval. The venue is Audlem St James' School Hall.

For tickets and information: Janet Warrington 811250 or at www.newperspectives.co.uk TAVA's events usually sell out quickly – so do book now to avoid disappointment.

Event kindly supported by Audlem St James School, Cheshire Rural Touring Network, Audlem Parish Council, Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council and Cheshire County Council.
