Sink Hole Repaired

...but unfortunately not until 1 cyclist broke her leg (walking holiday now cancelled) and another seriously injured a leg (and is also having to cancel a walking holiday – different one!)

Mat Capper from Pau Cycle Shop was such a star today when my friend came off her bike due to the sinkhole. He and a lady from ADAS who was tending planters looked after her and helped her into our car. Mat then took are of our bikes. He also looked after the second injured cyclist. It was due to Mat and the police that a council worker shortly arrived with a bucket of gloop to fill the hole. We will need to watch the hole to see it doesn't subside again. My friend is in Leighton with a badly broken leg.

We have had two bikers this morning on separate occasions come flying off their off bikes, the sink hole is deep and we have now covered with traffic cones to stop this happening again!

The police have been notified and they have said they have said they will inform the highway agency.

Please do not move the cones until someone has sorted the hole as with a suspected broken leg and badly cut elbow its been a lucky escape for these poor bikers.
