Audlem's annual 'Carols in the Square' event took place on the evening of Friday 21st December 2018 adjacent to the Christmas tree on the Square in the centre of Audlem.
The event featured Crewe Brass conducted by Matt Pithers. Carol's sung by the audience were 'Away in a Manger', 'Oh Come, All Ye Faithful', 'Oh Little Town of Bethlehem', 'Silent Night', 'Jingle Bells', 'Good King Wenceslas', 'Ding Dong! Merrily on High', and 'While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks'. The evening reached a crescendo with a rousing rendition of 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'. The Lord Combermere pub & restaurant provided soup to keep everyone warm.
Despite some rain the evening was enjoyed by several hundred people.
'Carols in the Square' was organised by ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society). For further information relating to ADAS please visit https://www.adasaudlem.org or search ADAS on Facebook.
