If you're anything like us, you will have addled your brain with too much food and drink over the festive season. Now is the time to try and get brains back into gear by going along to the Shroppie Fly on Tuesday evenings where Quizmaster Tony Lynch and landlords Kate and Andy Griffiths invite you to compete in the regular quiz nights. They start again next week at 8 pm on Tuesday 8th January.
The normal quizzes continue for ten weeks every Tuesday until 11th March. Then, in the final week, on Tuesday 18th March there will be a special Charity Quiz Night when there is big money to be won. In addition, there will be several opportunities to win raffle prizes drawn on the night, with all proceeds from ticket sales and quiz entry fees from this night and previous weeks going to a local charity. The actual charity hasn't been chosen yet, so there is still time to put your nominations in to Tony.
To join in the fun, all you need to do is to get a team of four together, come up with an appropriate name for the team (the sillier the better) and turn up at the Shroppie in good time for an 8 pm start. It only costs £4 per team entry so why not give it a try?
