This week's Chronicle includes a half page feature story on the Shroppie Fly, complete with a picture of Andy and Kate Griffiths outside their pub. The story is part of the Hidden Gems series which focusses on places in South Cheshire that are well worth a visit. Audlem's St James' Church was included in the series a couple of months ago.

This week's article gives some of the history of the Shroppie Fly, named after the 'fly' boats which flew up the canal delivering perishable goods. The building was a canal warehouse until as recently as 1974. The article includes an extensive interview with Andy and Audlem-born Kate and is well worth a read.
