Short-ARS walk for April

The Short-ARS walk scheduled for April was to have been a "Bluebell Walk" through Deep Hayes Country Park. Unfortunately, not only are the bluebells not appearing on schedule after the cold early Spring, but apparently part of the canal embankment is blocked due to a landslide.

So the walk will now be the circular route established by Peter Kay (click here to see a description of the walk), which allows us to explore some local paths without having to drive anywhere.

The walk will start and finish at the Main Car Park and is just over 5 miles long. Bob Cartwright (who, with Helen, will be leading the walk) suggests that as we get towards the end of the route, where the path meets the canal by Moss Hall Bridge, those who can resist the temptation of going straight to the Pub could do the extra couple of miles round by Hankelow Mill, and possibly see some bluebells!

Meet at the Main Car Park on Saturday April 24th at 9.30 am.
