The next short-ARS walk will be on this coming Saturday, April 28th. We will meet at Audlem main car park at 9.30 am to drive to Betley. The walk is between four and five miles long with half-a-dozen stiles, but very little in the way of "ups and downs".

#Betley Circuit
The walk will start from the Village Hall parking area in Betley.

We will go North along the main road into the centre of Betley and then turn West down a small road which becomes a farm-track and then wanders across some fields before crossing a footbridge over the railway line (good opportunity for train spotting here) and then into the village of Blakenhall.

We turn South and East back towards Wrinehill and then up the main road to return to Betley Village Hall passing several likely looking pubs.

When we did the "recce" the going underfoot was pretty good. We crossed several open fields but none had any stock in them at the time.

There were several fields of rape, but we observed no associated pillage.
