Short-ARS on Saturday

Kate McKennan is leading next Saturday's short ARS walk around Burwardsley.

We meet on Audlem car park at 9.30 am

Her description:-

This is a lovely circular walk of about 6 miles. We start and finish at the Pheasant Inn at Higher Burwardsley (CH3 9PF) from which we have extensive views over the Cheshire plain.

The walk encompasses undulating fields, woodland tracks and a couple of quiet lanes. There are splendid views of both Beeston and Peckforton castles. There are stiles and gates nearly all of which are dog friendly. The last mile is a steady slope uphill which has muddy patches and dogs must be on leads in this section.

We have checked that we can use the Pheasant car park but anyone wishing to eat there after the walk would be advised to book as it can be busy on a Saturday.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
