The next Short ARS is on Saturday 30th June to Marbury

Marbury and its Big Mere – distance 5.7miles in total, about 3.5 hours including coffee break.

We meet at 9.30am in Audlem car park.
Starting at the village hall car park at Marbury, the first 3 miles are level and quite a bit along the Llangollen Canal before heading off along the Bishop Bennett Way and then into some pleasant fields. There a fairly steady rise of 300ft, joining the South Cheshire Way before dropping back down towards the mere and returning to Marbury.

There are a couple of stiles, but it's pretty dog friendly, and with the current weather there shouldn't be any mud!

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
