The Parish Council has received the following letter about improvements to the sewers affecting the Moseley's Yard (Muller) development area.

Project: 80016787
May 2009

Dear Customer,

Important Information – sewer improvements in Audlem

As part of our current investment plan to improve the reliability of the sewer network in your area, we propose to carry out sewer work in Kingbur Place (Moseley's Yard Housing Development), the Fire Station and connect into the existing sewer in Shropshire Street.

The proposed work would consist of re-routing the existing sewer in Kingbur Place into Shropshire Street, and will be carried out by Morgan Est on our behalf.

How this may affect you

This essential work is required to improve the current system and prevent flooding in the future. The work will mean we will disconnect the existing inadequate system from the new property development. We will install a new sewer and pumping system from Kingbur Place through the grounds of the local fire station, which will eventually connect into the existing sewer in Shropshire Street. This will impose severe parking restrictions and access to local residents and businesses, during the work on Shropshire Street.

In order to show you how you will be affected we would like to invite you along to our Mobile Visitor Centre which will be parked on the car park of the Lord Combermere Public House between the hours 3pm and 7pm, on Tuesday the 19th May. Were we will have representatives from United Utilities and Morgan Est available to show you plans and answer any questions you may have.

In the meantime if you need any further help or information please phone us on 0845 746 2200 quoting the above project reference. We're open between 08:00am and 8:00pm Monday to Friday, 08:00am and 6:00pm on Saturday and 08:00am and noon on Sunday. We also have a 24-hour emergency service on the same phone number. We'll be happy to help.

Yours faithfully

Jason Boyd
Project Coordinator
