Audlem Saints tasted defeat for the first time this season on Sunday, beaten 1-0 by a strong Boca Juniors team. Audlem created plenty of chances but couldn't convert. Even a well struck penalty was brilliantly saved by the Boca keeper.
Saints' usual passing fluency disappeared as the game wore on and the boys took desperate measures to get a goal. In the end, they simply ran out of steam and had to settle for a 1-0 defeat. This was only the 5th time in 55 matches that Audlem have failed to score a goal!
Next week, the boys will be attempting to get things back to normal Vs Betley FC Flyers, ko 11.15am.
