The School newsletter at the end of February includes the news that Emerald class have been learning more about the Roman invasion of Britain. They have been learning about how Queen Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni people, led an uprising against the Romans (after all, what did the Romans ever do for us?).
The children then wrote their own rallying cry in the role of Boudicca and we are now looking forward to our trip to Chester to bring the Roman invasion, and hopefully the uprising by the Iceni, to life!
