Last Friday Christmas started at school where our own Big Switch On happened in every classroom and the festive spirit was sprinkled over all classrooms. The children have been very creative with their own decorations and showed their understanding of art & design.
Last Friday's we held our Elf Run on behalf of St Luke's Hospice. We have had an amazing response from parents, friends and staff and we are sure that the total we have raised will be splendid. St Luke's will be collecting the envelopes unopened on Tuesday, 14th December so if anyone still has donations, please bring them into school on Monday 13th so that they can be added to the collection.

On the same afternoon, Pearl class had a wonderful visit from the Fire Service. The class would like to say a big thank you to all of the fire fighters for an informative talk about the role of a fire fighter, keeping safe over the Christmas Season and for allowing us to have a close look at the fire engine.
The children particularly loved squirting water from the hose.
