Audlem St James' School Council has elected to support the British Heart Foundation. Their letter to parents and guardians, sent out on Friday, says:

Last term, we updated you on the Local Charities our School Council decided to support this year (Mend Our Mum and Save the Family). We recently met to discuss our chosen National Charity which is the British Heart Foundation.

As you will know, our school has become a Heartstart School this year and as part of this, we are working with the British Heart Foundation to learn more about important Basic Life Saving Skills.

Adults in school and our Year 6 children are also learning about our Defibrillator in school and how this can be used to save lives.

On Friday 6th February, our school will be supporting British Heart Foundation as part of their Wear It Beat It campaign as they aim to raise lots of money for life saving research.

Our School Council are asking children (and staff!) to Wear Red on this day – this could be a red ribbon, bow tie, shoes, hat, feather boa, or a full red outfit! The choice is yours!!

We are asking that children (and staff) bring a donation of £1 towards the British Heart Foundation appeal as part of this event.

We hope you can support us with this. Thank you for your continued support.

Finlay Ryan, Emily Suggate and Mrs Jewitt: Chair, Vice Chair of School Council/Headteacher
