A local resident recently informed AudlemOnline of a telephone scam he had received.

The telephone call was a recorded message saying the the HMRC had received a complaint about the resident and after following it up an arrest warrant had been issued on the resident for money owed. A reference number was given and the resident was told to ring a certain telephone number.

Rather suspicious, the resident rang the police who said this was a known scam currently going around.

Our resident asked AudlemOnline to publicise this scam.
