It was good to see Santa and his helpers with the Crewe & Nantwich District Round Table making their Christmas collection around Audlem over the weekend. And golly, it was a cold night to be out and about.
Indeed, the village is blessed this year with visits from the man himself. What with Santa's first arrival on Audlem Lass for The Big Switch On; then his flying visit to Audlem School by helicopter last Monday; now it's on a more traditional conveyance, his sleigh.
Such is the variety of transport used so far this year, the thought fleetingly crossed our minds at AudlemOnline that the pilot of the little yellow bi-plane stunting over Audlem on Friday may, just possibly, be Santa too!
