Audlem Saints powered to another victory on Sunday, running out 7-0 winners over Betley Yellow. The team signalled their intent from the first kick as a slick, four man passing move straight from the kick off resulted in a very well taken goal. From the restart, a strong tackle won the ball and quick movement created a second opportunity, again calmly taken. Two goals to the good after only 2 minutes was a perfect start.
Audlem maintained discipline and shape and ended the first period as 4-0 leaders. Plenty more opportunities were created and a further 3 goals added. The best of these was a measured free kick from the edge of the box which found the top corner of the Betley goal.
Audlem are still top of the league, yet to drop a point from 8 games. No game next Sunday but Boro Boys will provide the opposition on April 15th.
