Audlem Saints Under 8s played their thirteenth game of the season on Sunday but it wasn't to be an unlucky fixture. Dominating from the first kick, a three goal lead was established within the first ten minutes. Nantwich Tigers provided determined opposition and deserve credit for very sporting play but the Audlem boys proved simply too strong.
Good passing and movement created a great many chances and decisive finishing quickly settled the game. The goals were spread evenly throughout the team and the final tally was eight. Once again, good concentration levels in defence snuffed out the few Nantwich chances and so Audlem recorded a third consecutive clean sheet, the seventh this season.
The 8-0 victory gives Audlem a record of played 13, won 11 and drawn 2. Next week's game is against the similarly unbeaten Wistaston Cubs.
