Saints power into final

ASC Saints played in the semi final of the U11s South Cheshire Football League Cup last night (Wednesday) against Kidsgrove Athletic.

On a beautiful evening at Sandbach, the game was played in good spirit and Saints got off to the best possible start with a goal straight from the kick off. Kidsgrove deserve credit for battling away but Saints were too strong in every department.

The final score of 12-0 was an accurate reflection of Saints' superiority. Passing was good, finishing clinical and defending was of the "no nonsense" variety! The most pleasing aspect was that the boys continued to pass the ball around, not minding who applied the finishing touch and thus showing maturity.

The super win secures a place in the cup final which will be played at the Crewe Alex Academy at Reaseheath on Monday 10th May. On Sunday, the boys return to league action, away to Red Dot FC (Green St Sandbach, ko 10am).
