Saints in top of table clash

Audlem Saints U10s football team currently lay 2nd in the league and yesterday, Sunday, they played the leaders Bocca. This was a fantastic game between the top two teams. Bocca opened the scoring but Audlem kept things simple and created chances of their own and deservedly levelled with a good team move.

The commitment of both teams was superb with every player contributing. Bocca edged ahead with a goal of supreme quality. A quick break was finished with a long range curling, dipping shot that would have beaten any goalkeeper! Audlem fought hard to carve out a few more chances and an almighty goalmouth scramble led to a deserved equaliser 4 minutes from time. Final score 2-2.

Well done to both teams – a quality game.
