I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to all the generous people of Audlem and beyond who donated to my London marathon for MCHC end of life appeal in memory of our Mum Irene Pryce.

The gory details...completed in 4.19, it was very hot and I was flying along till about 10 miles.

Then the heat started to take effect. Talked myself through to 20 miles, slowing right down, then took heart at 6 miles to go. Just a usual run! Seeing my daughters Pip and Ruby at 23 miles pushed me on till the finish. My partner Jo and youngest daughter Heidi were out earlier on the course, as was ex-local lad Reuben Palin!

But I didn't spot them(probably lucky as I may have begged them to give me a piggyback for rest of way!!)

Just after the finish line I was interviewed in a daze by BBC and said "never again"!

I assumed it would never see light of day till some people messaged to say they seen it on 6 o clock news!

I first ran London 11 years ago and it went by in a whizz and I didn't take it in but this was different. A really memorable experience and am delighted that I was able to raise money for such an important local cause. Thank you!!!
