The Audlem running group will be on Saturday mornings at 8.30am – starting on Saturday 12th January.
We will meet on the doctor's car park in Audlem; following a short warm up we will run for approx 45mins. We will operate a 'muster' system where faster runners can, at various points, run on to an agreed point (ie a junction or bridge etc) then double back to rejoin the group, that way while still keeping as a group, faster runners can run further and faster at their discretion and slower members are not left behind.
On returning to the car park we will have a good stretching session, then I for one will be straight in the Priest House Café for a quick brew – hopefully many of you will too!
The route will no doubt include canal tow paths at some point, and, let's face it, even the roads can be muddy this time of year so please wear appropriate shoes with some grip if possible.
I hope all levels of runners from beginners up will enjoy and benefit from the session, as well as a chance to meet and chat with other runners, running in a group can be exhilarating!
Response has been fantastic already, hopefully the idea will grow and develop over time, looking forward to the first run!
