As part of the Annual Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, the Nantwich and District Branch of the Royal British Legion have organised an evening entitled a 'Festival of Remembrance' featuring The Co-Operative Band (Crewe) and The Corps of Drums of the Cheshire Constabulary with a Drum Head Service.

The evening is taking place at Nantwich Civic Hall on Sunday 25th October 2009 at 7.30pm. There will be a Licensed Bar and Refreshments available.

Money raised will go towards the 2009 Poppy Appeal. The funds enable the Royal British Legion to safeguard the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces.

The Royal British Legion help serving and ex-Service personnel and their families. Not just those who fought in the two World Wars, but also those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting today.

Tickets for the evening are priced at £6 Adults, £5 OAPs/Children and are available by contacting Alan Richardson (01270 663731) or Dave Skitt (01270 652904).
