Road improvements in south Cheshire

Highways improvements across the Borough are being boosted by an extra £6.5m.

This additional funding for 2015/16 will be spent on resurfacing works to improve the condition of the local highways network.

Highway condition surveys have been undertaken to provide a priority list for resurfacing works in 2015/16 that will target a further 80km of carriageway resurfacing across 103 sites in the Borough.

This includes sites in the Crewe and Nantwich and other roads in south Cheshire.

These include a number of roads that might be used by local drivers from the Audlem area:

• A532 Earle Street, Crewe plus a number of Crewe local roads
• A530 Middlewich Road, Crewe
• Waldrons Lane, Crewe
• Snape Lane, Weston
• B5338 Crewe Road, Nantwich
• A534 Wrexham Road, Bickerton
• C531 Sheppenhall Lane, Newhall
• Dodds Green Lane, Newhall
• C525 Long Lane, Wettenhall
• A525 Whitchurch Road, Dodcott cum Wilkesley
• C524 Wistaston Road, Willaston
• Wybunbury Road, Willaston
• C531 Wrenbury Road, Wrenbury
• New Road, Wrenbury
• C535 Checkley Lane, Checkley cum Wrinehill
• B5071 Bridge Street, Wybunbury
